Because the travels are a part of the everyday life, the General Council wishes to facilitate the life of the inhabitants of Alpes-Maritimes by proposing a network of road transport adapted to the needs for each !

Organized and financed by the department, the departemental network of bus, insures intercity linles on the whole territory. Created in 1990 by the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes under the acronym TAM, the network has for objective to allow each to organize and to facilitate its interurban travels, that they are school, professional or of leisure activities. At the end of 2009, the unification with the urban bus network of Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur allowed the creation of a unique transport network Lignes d'Azur.

 

The network is the result of a collaboration between the General Council and 30 companies of exploitation. Today it is 100 lines, 250 coaches, 1800 stop points and 10 million users a year.

Sillages

The mixte labor union of the sillages transports is the organizing authority of public transports. As such, he has the competence on his organization.

 

In 2008, the labor union counts a population of 112 847 inhabitants, by taking into account of last complementary censures.

The labor union of Sillages transports proposes a complete service of public transportation in Grasse area. These services are for all the users of 26 municipalities menbers to the labor union, whatever their age, their degree of mobility or their place of residence :

  • the public transport for all, it is ceaselessly improved to answer the increase of population on sector. It consists of 29 lines, 1000 stop points and transports 2.3 million travelers a year,
  •  the school lines : the network of the school transport adapts to the need for the pupils, in the direction of all the schools,
  • "Sillages à la demande" : a "custom-made" service for the users the most distant from the urban network,
  • MobiPlus : the answer of the Sillages labor union to the travels of the users with reduced mobility.

Envibus

Envibus provides a transport network in the Sophia Antipolis region.

It covers the 24 districts including : Antibes Juan-les-Pins, le Bar-sur-Loup, Biot, Bézaudun-les-Alpes, Bouyon, Caussols, Châteauneuf, Cipières, Conségudes, Courmes, Coursegoules, la Colle-sur-Loup, Les Ferres, Gourdon, Gréolières, Opio, Roquefort-les-Pins, Roquesteront-Grasse, le Rouret, Saint-Paul, Tourrettes-sur-Loup, Valbonne Sophia Antipolis, Vallauris Golfe-Juan, Villeneuve-Loubet.

Envibus is a network that offers a service of high quality: with camera surveillance, radios, adapted equipment for the disabled (PMR), sound announcements and TV screens on board the vehicles.

 

The urban network offers an ‘on request’ school bus service to satisfy the needs of the population. Thus Envibus proposes transport solutions at advantageous prices adapted to all categories of users 

 

Envibus has today :

  • 20 lines accessible for people with reduced mobility.
  • 9 shuttles from town centre with free access with a travel card.
  • 49 school bus lines covering a total of 578,000 kms per year.
  • 11 transport areas offering an ‘on request service’ under de name of Icila.
  • 1 service for people with serious mobility difficulties is provided.
  • About 1,000 stopping points.
  • About 8 Million journeys annually.

Buses of Monaco all the principality with a growing fast network since 2007.

 

With a frequency from 8 till 9 minutes for principal lines and from 10 till 12 minutes for the traverse lines. The transport offer is adapted to the needs for the users. The evening his allows to move in complete safety from 9pm. This possibility of night-travel is extended by a night bus, Saturdays and Sundays from 1am till 4am in the morning.

 

A boat-bus with electric propulsion generated by photovoltaic cells allows to cross the port and to easily join the casino Place from the Rock and you do the same to come back, everyday from 8am till 8pm.

 

Thanks to its 143 stop points, the buses of Monaco are accessible unless 150 meters of any point of the Principality. To facilitate the pedestrian accessibility, a network of escalators and public elevators establishes an effective correspondence with the public transport network.

 

To help the travelers during their route, all the lines are equipped, in buses and in stops, with a real time information system allowing to know the progress of buses.

 

An incentire princing facilitates the access to the mobility of all, with a particular a paid on a monthly basis subscription to 15€ a month.

 

To make easier the use of buses and train, shared information and subscriptions TER (Regional Express Train) + Monaco facilitates the intermodality, with a special price of 15€ a month for everybody and 10€ a month for the young people, as a supplement to the sbuscription TER.

 

Finally, to encourage the soft use as a supplement to the public transportation, a self service electric bike system is currently tested in Monaco Principality.

Zest

Zest offers a bus service to 10 districts (Beausoleil, Castellar, Castillon, Gorbio, Menton, Moulinet, Roquebrune-Cap Martin, Saint-Agnès, Sospel, La Turbie) with a fleet of vehicles wholly accessible to people with reduced mobility.


The accessibility and security of the bus station at Menton was updated in 2012.

 

Zest is today :

  • 1 summer shuttle
  • 18 school-bus services
  • 6 ‘on request’ lines (TAD) which is a ‘door to door’ service for people with reduced mobility.

Palm Bus

The year 2013 is a fundamental year for the ‘Palm Bus’ Network

 

This transport network became operational the 1st January, and by the end of the year ‘Bus Azur’ will be offering a high level bus-service to the140, 000 inhabitants in this area. The BHNS bus-service will connect Mandelieu and Cannes, and later will extend to Le Cannet.

The Palm Bus Network was registered in 2011, made 9,912,913 journeys, covering 3,078,791kms which is a growth of 4.4% compared to 2010.

 

Today the Blue Bus Network is :

  • 19 regular urban bus services in addition to a shuttle bus in the centre of Cannes, 5 school bus-lines, the Midnight Bus (evening circuits serving three districts from 21.00hrs to 02.20hrs ) a long distance line registered with the SITP between Cannes and Grasse, ‘Handibus Bus’ a bus service for the handicapped and 1 transport ‘on request’ service.
  • 644 bus stops 278 bus shelters.
  • Parking for 77 vehicles.
  • 237 workforces with 181 drivers.
  • 6 269 053€ HT gross sales revenue.
